Research
Schizophrenia Society of Canada Foundation (SSCF)
The SSC is committed to supporting research through its foundation.
The SSCF was established in 1994, through the generosity of the late Dr. Michael Smith, who contributed half of his Nobel Prize laureate monies to help form an endowment fund to which others could contribute.
The main focus of SSCF is to fund fellowships particularly in the area of molecular genetics, genetics, imaging, and biochemistry of the central nervous system with special emphasis on schizophrenia.
Since 1994, from a pool of endowment funds totaling $1.5 million, the SSCF has financed a total of 11 fellows.
For more information on the SSCF, please contact us at info@schizophrenia.ca.
